Abstract

When carrying out a voyage, there are many things that cause the ship to sink and threaten the safety of the ship's members. One of the things that you don't want to happen that results in the sinking of the ship is a leak in the ship. If a ship experiences a leak, usually members of the ship will carry out the leak role. With the increasingly rapid development of technology, the author designed a prototype of a microcontroller-based leak detection and leak control tool on the KRI to help ship members know more quickly when a leak occurs and help when carrying out leak prevention. The design of this tool detects water leaks using an ultrasonic sensor. After the sensor detects a ship leak, it will provide an initial warning in the form of an alarm sound and there is also information in the form of a display to determine the height of the incoming water. Not only that, the design of this tool also provides information in the form of audio sound to get information about where the leak occurred. To help overcome this tool, there is also a pump to drain the water that comes in if a leak occurs and helps members when carrying out the role of leaks on the ship.
